Words may be carried away on the wind, but, strangely enough, our brain has a small area to store the flavours that have formed part of our life. And, for Martín, a professional cook, connecting flavours and emotions is what makes his work special…

Martín bought a gunwale where he lives away from noise, smoke and the rat race. When he refurbished it, he thought about a traditional kitchen but combined with his love of innovating, testing and evolving. He wanted an open place where the task of cooking, his conversations or background music would form part of the same space, a place that would allow him to enjoy the kitchen, the peace of the setting and the unrivalled ritual of trying new sensations. He needed a place where he could be himself and enjoy his greatest hobby... cooking.

An integrated space that was differentiated from the rest of the house was achieving, where the kitchen, cupboards, wash and cooking areas are combined in a single block. It is all suspended in the air. As a tribute to a routine profession that requires great dedication, Martín made the work zone the main feature, with the cleaning zone and the area with the household appliance apart.  A sensation of spruceness and simplicity that combines perfectly with traditional oak wood with gloss black lacquer and stainless steel, where the brightness of the doors  subtly adjusts with the matt of the worktops.
